I started experimenting with and designing web pages in late 2004/early 2005.
My first project was a family newsletter/blog that was published monthly for 5 years.
It was built using NVU- mainly with HTML. Eventually it was switched over to the WordPress platform.
I’m Experienced in:
Wordpress (.com and .org)
Filezilla FTP client
I became interested in photography at a fairly young age and took photos of everything with my little 35 mm film camera. Eventually I moved into the digital world with a Sony Mavica MVC (3.5″ floppy disk!). By 2002, I was using a Nikon Coolpix point and shoot. That led to a Canon Powershot A530 in which I learned to use all the manual settings it had to offer. I took a few courses through Betterphoto.com, read a lot of photography books and blogs, experimented through trial and error and eventually bought my Canon Rebel XSi in June 2010. It came with a kit lens (18-55mm) and I’ve since added the EF-S 55-250mm 1:4-5.6 IS lens and the EF 50mm 1:1.8 lens to my camera bag.
I’ve been shooting portraits for a few years now and did my first engagement session in March of 2013. Before that, I was primarily a landscape photographer and was particularly focused on macro type shots. However, I’ve done quite a few animal portraits (paid sessions) and also love shooting wildlife.
I’m a natural light photographer.

I’ve done a little graphic designing on the side (banners, headers, logos for websites, t-shirts etc…) but I don’t claim to be proficient in the graphic design field.
My clients have either supplied me with their own drawings/graphics/ideas or I’ve created something that would work for them. Another option is to commission my sister to draw/paint a header/banner for your site (as she has done for me!). Prices will vary; please contact me for details.
When I’m not working, I enjoy many different outdoor activities such as running and hiking and adventuring. I’m also a HeartZones Ambassador. Check them out!
